We want to a SPICE circuit design for simple, low data rate, DC powerline communications; - 12 to 120 VDC (<5 amps) - just 2 wires carry both power AND comms - not twisted pair wires - 100m cable runs - low baud rates (9600 would be great!) - low noise rural environment - we'll use a protocol like NMEA - that repeats sentences... so lost data/sentences are OK - happy to rely on serial/UART error catching... ie no hardware error correction - ideally wire comes into Arduino hardware/software serial such as Arduino - low cost, so NO dedicated/expensive DC comms/PLC chips We want to break this into three (3) tasks/jobs; Task #1) YOU do a SPICE circuit design Task #2) then we shall get our guys to do a prototype Task #3) then YOU do the Eagle PCB design
