I believe your I/O problem with NFS is it uses a filesystem-based architecture. A far, far better solution would have been to use iSCSI which requires much more technical expertise to deploy and manage, but has a far lower overhead . Suppose this environment: * Install bacula server in AWS EC2 instance * Attach one volume to this instance for store backups * Configure this storage in bacula server * Install bacula's agents in your 15 production servers * Configure backup policies * Define and configure schedule policies. * Configure jobs in bacula server * Run jobs and verify funcionality.
