Hello; I am very interested in helping you with your thermometer project. I have successfully made similar devices in the past and I have worked at Apple as a hardware engineer. My dayjob is making hoverboards for Mark Cuban. In the past I have made wireless bluetooth low energy temperature probes which connected to an iPad. These temperature probes reported data on food temperature and are currently being used at Tim Hortons in Canada and the Disney resorts.
