This is a simple enough project if you know what you are doing. I need a simple perl script that connects to a list of POP3 accounts, retrieves any mail and adds the mail to a standard UNIX mailbox. More Details. Your program will need to create individual mailbox's for each pop3 account, (please note it needs to create mailboxes not user accounts with mailboxes). The script will be run as a cronjob and will connect to each pop3 in turn and download and remove the mail from the POP3 accounts, the downloaded mail will be stored in each corrosponding UNIX mailbox. The list of POP3 accounts with usernames and passwords will be stored in a CSV (comma seperated) file. This program is intended to work with: [login to view URL] please take a look at the site to understand what I mean. This script should run on Perl 5.4 or higher and run under Linux Please only bid on this if you know you can complete this job and please contact me if you require further details.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working script which is readble (not obfuscated.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition on the platform specified above.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
The use of open source code is fine.
## Platform
Linux with Perl 5.4 or higher. Any required modules should be listed and will be installed by us.
Hi,
I'm Perl expert with several completed projects like this that's why I'm sure you'll be impressed with my work.
One thing you need to know before we start: I'm gonna use non-standard modules so you need to install couple of such modules (but this is really easy and I can do this for you).
Thanks.
Roman
I suppose you're referring to the MBOX format of mailboxes. What's undefined is the name of each mailbox and the path[s] to the mailboxes - something you might want to specify so that it fits your environment.
Although your proposed budget looks a bit underestimated, I'd be glad to help. Thank you.
i am expert in perl scripting and have written mailer and email bot in past. I have good understanding about it. I would require some more details from you like what is local mailbox, is it some folder or location.
Hi arielklein,
I have 25 years experience in programming. Currently my responsability is maintaning Linux based mail-servers which we using (and developing) serveral extensions in perl (for anti-virus, anti-spam and blind-copy solutions).
That's only mentioned to prove, I have enough knowledge to fulfill your requirements.
Regards, George.
