9848 Three Month Calendar

Monthly Calendar. This script needs to be run by php with a mysql database. Please see the attached image for a better idea of what I need. We will need to have this exactly how I mentioned. I need a fall calendar for the months: Sept Oct & Nov This calendar would allow the site owner to add stories and 6 images for each day for these months. The main page of the of this calendar would only show 3 small calendar thumbnail images (maybe 150 pixels wide). One for each month. When they click on a month it would take them to that month's page. For example if they click on the September thumbnail image it would take them to the September calendar page. The individual calendar pages would show a large version of that month's calendar. Maybe like 500-600 pixels wide. As they entered something for a specific date that calendar square would be highlighted and allow them to click it to read that day's events. Maybe with the phrase "see events". For the days that noting was entered there would be nothing in the box other than the date and would not be clickable. When they click on a date that has an entry they would view it. Then they could click to go back to that month's calendar. Important notes: We do not need or want any of the other months. Just Sept thru Nov.. Each year they will have the ability to clean the slate for each month. This is needed as an event diary. Basically the site owner will add to text an images daily until the end of November. Then this will have to stay up for a year. Then the next year around the first of September he will clean the slate and start his entries for that next year. So somewhere in the admin they would have to enter the year they are showing. Then the script would show the correct calendar dates based on the year they entered. For example before he starts adding events he would need to establish in the admin that the calendar should display in the 2006 format. This can't be based of the date on the computer because it need to keep showing 2006 calendar all the way up to Sept 2007 until he decides to clean the slate on the months and set up his 2007 calendar. This will not need to show previous years. It will only show what they have entered for each of these 3 months. On these calendar pages it should look just like a calendar with a scenic image above the calendar which I will provide you for each of the 3 months. As for the images that the site owner can add to his daily diary, They need to be automatically compressed for fast load time yet they need to have a quality look. The images for each day will be shown on the page below the paragraph of text that he adds for that day's entry. These images would need to be scaled down to approximatly 350 px wide and show 2 in a row So there would be 3 rows of 2. THE ADMIN PANEL: The admin is pretty self explanatory. First of all the admin section of the site should have it's own folder called caladmin/ There is no password protection needed in the script as I will just password protect that directory. The "select a year" button would take them to a page in the admin that would allow them to either type in the year (i.e. "2006") which would be preferred or simply give a drop down with 20 years worth of dates or so. By setting this it would show the correct calendar format for whatever year they wanted to show. As I said before, it has to be like this because next year he will still be showing this years calendar until September. The "add a daily event" button would allow them to choose which month and which date they want to add to. Then it would give them a box to enter their paragraphs of information. Then below that is six browse boxes to add up to 6 images for each date. The "edit a daily event" button would give them first a place to select in a drop down the month and the date they wish to edit. after they hit submit they can edit the info the put in for that date as well as add additional photos or remove ones that they added. The "remove a daily event" would give them 2 drop downs one to select the month and then the date of the event that they want to delete. This should also physically delete the image files from the image folder for that date. The "Clear a month" when clicked would show a drop down that would all them to choose a month then hit the delete button to remove all entries text and images for each of the days for that month. The "clear all months" would instantly remove all text and images for all 3 months at one time.
