I have a Word macro (which I can supply as a template) that I wish to reproduce in Outlook. The macro should do this:
- Put up an additional item on the File menu when viewing an email
- Clicking on the menu item brings up a dialog box with some confirmatory text and into which the user can enter the name of the document to be saved
- The macro then goes to a location in the HKCU\Software\VB and VBA program Settings hive to recover the file path to save to. A typical path might be
\\Server\docfiles\000000012\74\
- If it doesn't already exist the 'save to' folder must be created
- A copy of the email is saved to that location as .txt or .htm as appropriate
The macro must run in all versions of Outlook from 98 through to Outlook 2003.
