Insurance Comparison Application

This is the first project of this type for me. I need you to guide me through this process to avoid any misunderstandings between us. The goal of this project is to create software that projects the annual cost of prescription drugs under a variety of regional prescription plans and ranks each plan by annual cost from the least expensive to the most expensive. Initial application will be desk based for Microsoft language machines. It must be easily adaptable to a web based application. The design should allow for easy updating changes in formularies, plan premiums, adjustments to tiering and changes in individual client inputs (name, contact info, drugs purchased, etc.) Output will be a report that includes the comparison spread sheet, plan descriptions and educational materials (we'll supply both). Printable report has cover page including client name, date input, name of individual and name of firm providing the analysis. Provide means for user to select to print the entire report or specific sections. The program needs to include the top 100 prescriptions drugs as represented on a webpage like [[login to view URL]][1]. You'll need to edit an existing query or write a new one to build a database from the source website. Currently the database will include 45 prescription drug plans. Each plan has about 10 variables to compare (premium, maximum benefit, etc.) Plan descriptions should be searchable by company name and printable. The reports should be displayable on screen as well as in print. Since I'm not sure how long a project like this should take, I'll need your feedback to set deadlines, etc. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. I now understand the importance of detailing the project. New marketplace competition information is also causing me to rethink the most profitable strategy to employ. At this point I'm not sure if I will proceed with the project. It will certainly be different than originally envisioned.
