( 5000 words) Bringing a new product to market. the aim is developing new products for existing markets. You may choose any consumer or industrial product as the focus of this assessment but it must fit within the guidelines for New Product Introduction (NPI) or New Product Development (NPD). 1. Formulate an NPI/NPD strategy and methodology to meet the above specification. You should consider a number of alternative approaches and critically appraise their suitability to the given project. You must agree on an approach which must be fully justified using appropriate critical analysis tools and techniques. 2. Evidence your use of appropriate time management, data gathering and reporting techniques. Produce a detailed Project Plan, including a Gantt chart outlining the major steps and work needed to implement it. Your plan must include evidence of the tools and techniques you have applied to the project. Include Minutes of your Team Meetings in an Appendix. 3. Show awareness of economic, social and environmental issues relating to this project. Your chosen methodology should be justified in economic, social and environmental terms. To this end, you will need to:  Consider the financial and business benefits to your company of adopting your chosen strategy.  Evaluate any social and political implications which may be inherent in both your product and your business operations.  Investigate any implications your product may have on the environment and on the sustainability of your business. 4. Conclusions Include a critical appraisal of the tools and techniques you have applied and their usefulness to your business. Reflect on how you approached this assessment:  What other tools and techniques could you have used?  How could your work have been improved?  How well did your team manage its time?
