Import CSV to DB in MS SQL Server Management Studio & Visual Studio

I am a Computer Engineer, with a MCSA SQL Server 2014 certificate, with more than 10 years of experience using SQL, queries, reports and dashboards design and construction, data warehousing, and overall Business Intelligence related projects and tasks. I am a near-native English speaker, currently available, and results oriented - I am a freelancer, which requires little to none supervision to deliver. I have conducted flat file to SQL import/export tasks before successfully. I have read your project description and I can do the requested as follows: - We can import the CSV to the database using the following methods: building a little SSIS package to do the import, or using SQL command lines such as BULKINSERT or OPENROWSET. About the latests, I can encase the command lines in a SQL Server stored procedure, to be executed on demand, or scheduled. I've used all the methods mentioned to do imports. - About the date dimension, I also have done that, and its filling can be automatized with a SQL server script that uses the native SQL Server date functions. Can be scheduled to run once a year, to fill the data for the next year, or we can fill the dimension until the year 2099 from the first run. I can have the import process of up to 5 CSV files done, and the construction of the date dimension, in one full working day. I am available right now.

Hello, I'd like assist you with this. Just to be sure, you need: 1. Take CSV data. 2. Run SQL Studio. 3. Import the data into a table. If yes and in case your csv file structure is the same as the table you need import data to - it is trivial task can be done from the box. I can show you via Skype/TeamViever or any other way is proper for you. In case you need import automaticall and your csv file structure shoul be changed for the import - then it can take more time, but this case I need a bit more infoo, like 1. How often do you run the import? 2. Will this process be automated or will be run manually each time? 3. The structure of the resulting table. 4. The structure of the CSV file: columns, encoding and the delimiter. Btw, not sure I got your sentence "dimension table also needs to be created from scratch (using scripts)" - there is no problem with this, I can do this easily, but looks do not understand the reasone you need this table.
