I am looking for a long term working relationship for a number of small projects. For most of them, I will provide you with a Solidworks file for you to split, so I can machine the pattern to make the molds to cast the replacement part. Please tell me your qualifications, and give me an hourly rate. Once I select some I will provide them with the file and ask for a firm not to exceed quote. The firm quote does not include modifications, requested by the foundry or engineer. Those will be paid for on a time & materials basis. It’s not fair to you to ask for a firm quote when I don’t know what they will be. Other projects could be, taking a drawing (PDF) and converting it to a Solidworks file (or fixing my attempt to do so). I understand many Solidworks concepts, but have not had the time to become proficient. Currently I am running Solidworks 2016. Deliverables will be 1) The print to send to the foundry for their ok 2) Once the foundry tells me that it will work in their processes, I will send it to the engineer to get a PE stamp (required by insurance). 2) Once I get the PE Stamp I will then need the solid works file, so I can have it translated to machine code and machine the pattern.
