I am looking to hire a developer to rebuild an old ASP web database application. The project will rebuild an application in ASP.net using vb.net. The database is a single table has with 5 fields and one is system generated date/time. The unique field is a barcode that the user scans barcode, and press enter key or Clicks Save button to save the barcode database table. Barcodes must be unique before they inserted into the database. Old project used inline SQL statements; stored procedures will replace the inline statements. I have old project files that should make it easy to build similar functionality. The important part of the project is duplicating existing system functionality and user interaction. The current ASP project files, database script, stored procedures, and some data will be provided.

Hi, I can help you with this using C# .NET as for VB.NET you will have more problem updating it in the future. I will create you a WEB API with entity framework wich can save a lot of time and all of your code will be modified in your project so you wont have to add store procedures. If you dont want it that's ok i will work with store procedures as you want. I just have a question, how do you scan the barcodes? do you upload an image? If you can provide more information in Chat about this it will help a lot.
