For 6 forms, and for projects going forward, the need exists for someone to create fill-in forms and other documents in a markup language that creates efficient PostScript output files. Forms created should have a look consistent with common IRS forms in terms of style. Forms to be created generally consist of short manuals (many pages, with table of contents), signed declarations (blocks of text with signature blocks), and forms similar to the IRS W-4 (entry boxes, checkboxes, blocks of text and graphic elements similar to IRS forms. Some forms may have sections of text swapped out under program control and published on demand while others only need to be occasionally updated.
There is great benefit in creating the smallest PostScript output files since many are copied and stored, and will also be compressed.
One common markup language is LaTeX ([login to view URL]), but other markup systems could be used. The requirement here is that there is a commonly available Linux program to convert the markup into PostScript.
It should also be able to create automatic table of contents, page numbering and other features common for printed works.
