Wordpress Website needs Design Improvement

I have a current website that is built on the Wordpress platform using the Flexsqueeze theme. I will be launching this website in this next couple weeks and I need someone with website and graphic design skill to go through and make the site look little more professional. I will need a header and or logo designed. I will need a color scheme created and implemented for the overall site. There is a feature slider that can be included on the homepage that I will need the php file edited with the content that I require. I may need my ebook cover or covers redesigned I am looking for somebody who can go through and put their touch on everything to make site design look great. I have already built the site and added content, but I don't have a very good eye for colors and I have no graphic design skills. I like simple, but quality. The theme that I am using for my site is called FlexSqueeze. It is a premium theme that gives the ability to make changes to almost anything directly from the menu. So whatever colors that are chosen for the site will need to be updated from within the theme's menu and not through a css stylesheet so I will still have access to them. (If a css stylesheet is better, then I would just like you to provide me the color codes in case I ever need to make any adjustments) I would like to overall design to be bright, cheery, and comfortable. For what I am doing, I don't want a site that is dark or dreary. I am hoping to have a lot of repeat visitors and I am want people to be comfortable with the site the first time they come to it. I like the colors, blue, green, yellow, or orange, but am open to other suggestions. This will be an easy job for somebody who knows what they are doing and has a good eye for design. I do know want it over designed with a lot of graphics, just enough to look nice. The theme of the website is about Garage Sales and Yard Sales, so please only bid on this job if you are familiar with what these are. In your bid, please tell me in your opinion what a Garage Sale is, and what kind of images you think of when you think of Garage Sales. I will also send you the url upon request through PM so you can get a better idea of the site. Please tell me your experience working with wordpress. Any examples of your work would be helpful too.
