Drupal classifieds for garage rentals

Overview. [login to view URL] is a website that covers broadly the same audience as [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] etc with the bias towards longer-term rental of private garages to be used as storage space. The website will allow advertising of a garage available for rent with the ability to post garage description, upload pictures and specify location on the map. Garage owners will be able to manage their listings by suspending, deleting and modifying the description. Prospective renters will be able to search for a storage space based on location (City, State, Zip/Post code etc) and optionally by the size they need. The website will provide means of private communication between landlords and renters and feedback ratings both for owners and renters. ## Deliverables Details. 1. I would like this site to be developed in Drupal 7. 2. This website should be multinational with domain prefixes distinguishing between countries. For example: [login to view URL] is United Kingdom-specific, [login to view URL] is USA version and [login to view URL] is German one. The difference should be reflected both in the language of the site and the way the site works (specifically for the search, State field is irrelevant in the UK, Postcode format is different from that of Zipcode, currency varies etc.) There must be a setting defining if the default address ([login to view URL] without a prefix) should redirect to the regional one or not and what criteria (user locale setting, ip address etc.) to use. 3. The website should have unique relevant content (that is not the same wording as existing websites). Pages for "How it works", "Useful links", "Contact us" and similar must be created. 4. The website installation and deployment should follow Drupal guidelines. Specifically the source code of standard and third-party modules should not be modified. The website should remain in working order after system or module upgrade. I should be able to migrate the site to another hosting or another domain name with minimal manual effort (e.g. using Backup and Migrate module). 5. The website should conform to usability and HTML markup guidelines and should work properly in all modern browsers (including, but not limited to Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari). 6. The website design must be easily customizable via Drupal's theming mechanism. Functionality. Users will be able to advertise their garages on the site and search for available garages in the area they need. Garage listing will have the following fields: 1. Title. Brief description what is advertised and where - "Secure garage near Clapham Junction London". 2. Address. Exact postal address of the garage. The fields will depend on the regional prefix with default country implied. 3. Price. Desired revenue (expressed in default currency) and term which the price applies to - "$15 per week". 4. Description (optional). Few paragraphs about the garage ("secure 16'x11' garage"), acceptable uses ("storage or parking"), available facilities ("heated, electric lights"), special conditions ("weekends only") etc. 5. Minimum rental term (optional). Number box and period dropdown. ("2 months"). 6. Size (optional). Width, length and height of the garage. 7. Photos (optional). User must be able to upload a limited number of photos with optional short description of what the photo shows. Search form will have the following criteria: 1. Address. Either exact address with postal code or broad city/state combination. All fields are optional, however at least one definitive criteria is required. 2. Maximum price per period that user is willing to pay (optional). 3. Maximum distance from the address specified (optional). 4. Rental term required (optional). The user will also be able to post "Garage wanted" ad on the site. The fields will be symmetrical to those of the garage listing with the exception of photos. In general only registered users will be able to advertise garages or post "Garage Wanted" ads. Registered users should have an ability to see a list of their ads in "My listings" page as well as deactivate them (stop publishing, keeping the post intact), activate suspended ads and delete their own listings permanently. Use cases. Use case 1. User wants to advertise his garage. 1. From the front page he clicks "Post an ad" link (or button - whatever suits best). This takes him to "List a garage" page. 2. "List a garage" page contains garage details fields for user to fill (title, address, price, optional description, optional placeholders for photos, optional minimum rental period) as well as a box for user email and a link for registered users to log in. Upon submitting this form the garage listing will appear as pending in user account. For the users not previously registered on the site, the account is created and welcome email is sent with the instructions on how to access their data (submission confirmation page should indicate that email was sent). User will be able to preview how his listing would look and publish it (check "Published" checkbox and save listing details). At this point the listing will appear on the main page of the corresponding regional site under "Latest listings" block and will be searchable by other users. Use case 2. User wants to rent a garage. 1. From the front page he clicks on "Search for garage" link. This takes him to search criteria entry form that contains relevant fields for user's country. 2. User fills search form with details of the garage he's interested in. This may include City, State (if relevant), ZipCode (or Postcode), Country, desired rental period, maximum distance from desired location, maximum price. All fields here are either optional or pre-filled with defaults. Distance and currency should be expressed in relevant units (miles and pounds for UK, miles and dollars for US, kilometers and euros for France etc.). Submitting this form takes him to Search results page. 3. Search results page will show the search criteria used and a list of matching garages (with brief description) as well as location map (using Google Maps widget). User is able to click on the link from the list to see further details and contact the owner. User is also able to change the search criteria on this page to update the results. 4. User is able to post a "wanted" ad at this point if there's no result matching his requirements much like posting a garage listing (except for the photos).
