Wordpress theme changes

At the moment, our website and our blog are separate. Our website uses a PHP microframework (not relevant for this project) and our blog is Wordpress. We want to make everything Wordpress. The current WP theme is up to date and works fine. There are ~2 other page templates that exist in the HTML site but not in WP - so you will have to create these. They are very similar to the existing WP page template. You should use includes/blocks/shortcodes to make sure that parts of pages that are the same for all of the page templates, can be updated easily in one place. Our website also includes a "latest from our blog" section at the bottom of most pages. We want to keep it as it is now, ideally using a plugin or the internal API, not xmlrpc as we do now. We are concerned about speed and want to remove xmlrpc for security. We want to keep all of the URLs as they are now, and all of the content and design as they are now. This will mean adding lots of new pages in the Wordpress backend, making the slugs the same (specifically putting the blog articles under "/blog" and everything not under "/blog" will be a page) and copying/pasting text from our website into those WP pages - there are about 20 in total. It must all be identical. Our website has a few forms that are well styled. The final step will be to implement Gravity Forms or something similar (that we will purchase/supply as needed) so that the website looks exactly the same as it does now, but the plugin handles the backend functionality.
