Hello, I work at CERES in Victoria, a not-for-profit sustainability center. I am managing the construction of a high-yield, resource-efficient urban farm that will be used for commercial and educational purposes. The urban farm will produce pea shoots, a crop that is halfway between a sprout and a salad green. The pea seeds will be germinated in soil-lined propagation trays in climate-controlled shipping containers. When the seeds are germinated, the propagation trays are removed to the greenhouse where the leaves mature in the sunlight. I am looking for a freelancer to: - make a simple 3D virtual model of our vertical farm. - derive or make certain moderately-detailed 3D renderings from the 3D virtual model. - make certain cross-section drawings that display the farm’s equipment and infrastructure. The farm's infrastructure consists of: - a 10mx12m greenhouse, including 1 x double sliding doors, 1 x sliding door, 2 x air vents that open manually by a level, 2 x sidewalls with roll up curtains (for ventilation). - an undercover post-harvest processing area. - a small cool room. - a small indoor seed storage area - 2 x 40ft Reefer shipping containers. The greenhouse roof captures rainwater and it is stored in tanks. There is also an outdoor storage area for bulk horticultural inputs and outputs. Farm's equipment consists of: - Shelving units inside the shipping containers and greenhouse. - Fluorescent lighting inside the shipping containers. - Steel benches for cutting, weighing and packaging harvested produce in the undercover post-harvest processing area. - Produce crates for storing packaged produce in the cool room. - Ebb and Flow tables (a.k.a. Flood and Drain) - An Ebb and Flow (a.k.a. Flood and Drain) irrigation system inside the greenhouse, including small pump, water filter, water reservoirs and various plumbing fixtures. - Propagation trays. - An Urbinati seeding line and seed broadcasting machine that fills the propagation trays with soil and seeds. - 1 x forklift. - 3 x garden hoses. The 3D virtual model will be uploaded to our public Wordpress website. Viewers will need to be able to zoom in and out and view the model from different angles. The level of detail required for the 3D virtual model is approximately as in this example: [login to view URL] Not all equipment and infrastructure needs to be displayed in detail. For example, a tube or cylinder would be sufficient to indicate fluorescent lights, and a cube or rectangular prism would be sufficient to indicate the water reservoirs. We request that the 3D virtual model is submitted in an .obj format or similar at the end of the job. I am assuming that the 3D renderings and 2D cross-sections could be wholly or partly derived from the 3D model. I need about 10 x 3D renderings and 8 x 2D cross sections. I do not need refined textures or lighting or coloring effects in either the 3D renderings or 2D cross-sections. The level of detail needed is similar as in an IKEA assemblage manual.
