Hi. Paypal has API to add discount codes to their buttons, But by default they do it via javascript code available to everybody to inspect in the browser. If you want it to be done with csv file then it will require some extra protection like encoding these codes inside javascript so they cannot be easily found out. As for using each code only once. There is no perfect solution for this. When somebody used the code it can be stored in cookies. But cookies can be removed by users and then they will be able to use it again. Also IP address can be used to identify users. It will work as long as they have the same IP. I think using both will be the best option. I've just got an idea about discount codes. I think the best way to handle it will be to process discount on your side and redirect them to paypal with discount already taken off. Thus they will not be able to see discount codes (in protected csv file) because they won't be shown on your page html or javascript code. The validation will be done on server side. If user has entered incorrect code they will be asked to enter again. Also might be good to show the price with discount before redirecting to paypal.
