Asset Tracking for Small Business

Ready to establish an asset tracking system for a small business. This asset tracking system will be web based and will rely on QR codes to be scanned to transmit data to the website to update the geo-location and status of different inventory items. This website is to be graphical on the desktop side and verrrrry mobile friendly when scanning qr codes / transmitting data. The website itself is already mostly designed graphics wise, it just needs to be coded to work and generate the QR codes for each asset and be able to read those QR codes to transfer information to the database/system. This system will also have Users & Roles. Each User is assigned a Role the gives the user specified permissions. For example, the "Asset Manager" will control all inventory, add and delete assets, and be the only person (besides Administrator) that has permission to check assets INTO inventory. These permissions should be listed so that the Administrator can easily create a "custom" user if they would like the typical "user" to be able to check in and out the inventory on their own. You will be able to "group" items together. Users should be able to take notes on items when checking in or out. Example: 1) User "John Doe" scans Item 1 from Inventory by scanning the QR Code. 2) John Doe is then taken to the website where he is prompted for his geo-location. Once allowed, this setting is remembered after the first use. John Doe may also manually input the address. 3) Item 1 then shows up as "Currently Checked Out To User: John Doe". 4) When John Doe is finished with the item, the Asset Manager can scan it back into inventory, or he can do it himself if the Administrator has made a special "Role" that he is assigned to that grants him permission.
