We resell servers from different providers and after using Excel for years, want to develop a simple system back end to improve the management.
The access will be available after login with username (email address) and password, there will be three pages (Dedicated; VPS & Cloud; Admin). There will be an admin user who has access to all the system, while normal users can access only the Dedicated and VPS & Cloud for data input/edit.
For the VPS & Dedicated pages, basically there are single pages where all services are listed based on renewal date (from first to last or from last to first), categories include (horizontal line of the table):
-Activation date
-Renewal date
-Due date
-Renewal cost
-Selling price (restricted to admins)
-Main IP Address
-Additional IP Addresses
-Datacenter (drop down)
-Server Location (drop down)
-Hosting Brand (drop down)
-Service Plan (drop down)
-Client name
-Email address
-Other Notes
The functionality of the admin system:
-Create, delete, edit users
-Create, edit, delete Datacenter, Location, hosting brands, service plan
-View total renewal cost and selling price (automated calculated from the data input in the Dedicated and VPS & Cloud pages)
-View statistics about total number of services per datacenter, location, hosting brands etc.
-Logs or last actions by normal users
-Set up other system settings
Overall the system needs to be intuitive, easy to navigate and clean. Servers due in 7 days should be have orange background while those overdue should appear with red background. Cancelled servers should have black background and pushed to a bottom table, and their data removed from the total cost/price estimations provided to the admin.
