We are an Australian based consulting firm with accounting, marketing, and HR departments. We provide consulting and advisory services with the ability to then implement as required. We are accredited by the government and have a large volume of work. Our accounting division has an opening for a Tax Accountant to work alongside our Manager of Taxation.
Our Bookkeeping division provides services for many businesses in Australia using MYOB and Xero. Many of these clients then choose to use our Quinlan Tax division for their returns. The volume of work is therefore for company and trust returns. We are not focused on individual tax returns.
We are seeking great people who want to learn lots, be challenged, and be part of our team.
Attributes required:
• Experience using Xero Tax to lodge business returns for Australian clients.
• Advanced knowledge of the Australian taxation legislation, including areas around superannuation, payroll tax, Division 7A, depreciation and instant asset write off.
• Excellent English communication skills to liaise with our internal team and draft emails to our clients to obtain information needed for the returns and to guide our clients as required.
• You must be in a country that allows you to access Australian based websites.
• You must not be residing in Australia.
• The work must be done by you personally. If we find you are outsourcing the work or paying your staff to do the work, we will not pay you.
• The country you are working in must allow you to work as contractor – we will not be employing anyone.
Work will be about 10 hours per week. Once you demonstrate your ability will increase during peak times if you want more hours. We are seeking a long-term business relationship. The hourly rate is AUD $9 per hour. This is not negotiable but may increase to $10 after 6 months. We provide you all software needed.
