Are you a vegan who loves books or do you love steak and real ale?
In Chorlton you can be either, there’s something for everyone. Not only does it have, Unicorn, the only Vegan Supermarket in Manchester it’s also home to some of the best independent food retailers including the award winning fishmongers, Out of the Blue and WH Frosts, a butchers, that's forty year years old.
But it’s not just food shops, you can find anything from clothes and furniture to handmade art sold locally.
Alongside shops there are an eclectic mix of bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs for when you fancy a night out.
There are festivals throughout the year including the Chorlton Arts Festival and the Chorlton Book Festival as well as comedy and music nights pretty much every night of the week which can make you wonder: why bother to go in to town?
But if you do want to get to Central Manchester you are a mere three miles away reachable by bike, bus, car, and of course, the Metrolink tram which takes ten minutes.
If you prefer the calm of nature then Chorlton has that too, with the beauty of Chorlton Water Park on your doorstep, complete with lake and footpaths perfect for an early evening stroll.
And of course who could forget Manchester United’s home Old Trafford which is situated a mile away. So when looking for a place to live in Manchester, Chorlton should never be given the red card.
