Project: Work with a Freelancer One-on-One and Pay If Happy with Completed Work.

I’m seeking to raise money to have a totally accessible and sustainable house built for my son, my parents and myself, so that we could have a permanent home to live in. Therefore, I have started a GoFundMe project, and I need help managing it. My goal is $500,000.00. I need a fundraising expert to help me reach my goal. It would be cheaper to build a house in Oviedo Florida, than to buy an existing house. So, I have come up with a project, which I call “Access Green Living.” The details of this project Are as follows: ◦ I will apply to Habitat for Humanity to see if they would build the house for me. ◦ Assuming that my application is approved, I would have the builders use all ecofriendly materials that are locally sourced to build the house. ◦ I would have them put in rain harvesting tanks to collect rain and turn it into useable running water for the house. ◦ Also, I would have them put in a dehumidifier, which would harvest the humidity. Then, put the water through a purification process to turn the rain and humidity into usable/drinkable water. That would help: 1. To reduce the amount of water that is used from the environment. 2. . Reduce or maybe even eliminate the water bill. ◦ I would have the builders install a solar power system, which would help to: 1. Reduce or maybe even eliminate the electric bill. 2. . It would help play a part in reducing carbon emissions and helping the environment make the transition to using natural, clean energy. ◦ I would have a greenhouse erected on the side of the house so I could grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, legumes, and nuts. We are vegetarians, so the greenhouse would help to reduce our grocery bill tremendously. The other part of the project is making the house totally accessible. The reason for this is that I have multiple disabilities. Specifically, I’m totally blind and I have hemi-paresis, (a weakness) on the right side of my body. Yes, it is challenging to function without sight, being one-handed, and walking with a limp, but if my environment is accessible, I am able to function properly. I would be able to cook, and clean, and get in and out of the shower safely. Furthermore, my mother has chronic arthritis, which makes her physically disabled as well. It would be helpful for her to be in a fully accessible house also. What I mean by a fully accessible house is: ◦ The house would have to have wide hallways and doorways, because my mother walks with a walker. ◦ Being that the house would be two-stories, (for it is more eco-friendly to build a two-story house than a ranch, and it is more cost effective), I would need a lift/elevator to be able to get from one floor to the other, especially if I am carrying something, such as laundry, vacuum cleaner etc. ◦ I would need grab bars/handles in the bathrooms as well as walk-in showers, so my mother and I would be able to maneuver safely in the bathroom. ◦ I would need to have the countertops in the kitchen set at wheelchair height, because I can’t stand for very long, so when cooking I would need to sit most of the time. So, 100% of the funds would go to purchasing the land, paying someone to design the plan for the house, (if Habitat for Humanity doesn’t do it), getting all the materials for the house, and furnishing the house.
