Here is the description: The fuel required to launch a given part of your ship is based on its mass To find the fuel required for a specific part, take its mass, divide by four, round down / truncate, and finally subtract three For example: • For a mass of 17, divide by 4, round down to get 4, then subtract 3 to get 1 • For a mass of 80, divide by 4, round down to yield 20, so the fuel required is 17 • For a mass of 1969, the fuel required is 489 • For a mass of 100756, the fuel required is 25186 The Fuel Counter-Upper needs to know the total fuel requirement for the five ship parts To find the solution, individually calculate the fuel needed for the mass of each part, then add together all the fuel values What is the sum of the fuel requirements for all of the parts on your spacecraft? You may use C++, Java, Python, or C# to solve this problem You must follow these restrictions on the way you form your code: 1) Create a function called FuelRequiredForPart() which takes an integer input for mass, and returns the integer amount of fuel required for that part The remaining parts must be completed inside of a main() function, or "globally" if using Python 2) Prompt the user for five inputs 3) Use the FuelRequiredForPart() function and accumulate the five function call outputs 4) Tell the user the total amount of fuel needed INPUTS: [54, 193, 222, 9732, 181] ==> FUELS: [10, 45, 52, 2430, 42] ==> TOTAL FUEL NEEDED: 2579 You now have a working version of the program that requires direct user input Let's automate the process a bit, so look into modifying step 2 above 2a) Use an array instead of prompting the user for all the input Maybe the array will have more or less than five entries, so make sure your program can handle a variable sized array Process the array elements just as if they were user input
