Wordpress Plugin Customization I would like to customize an existing plugin (Tevolution) which is a listing plugin to create business directories, classifieds, etc.. You can see a demo site at: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The customizations needed are as follow: ----------------------- User Location: Country -> City (Currently: Country -> State -> City). City is the main location. Each City will have different areas. However, listings will be shown from all around the city unless narrowed through a widget filter to specific area. Each Country will have a: • Currency • Country Code (Phone) • Measure unit (sqm/sqft) ----------------------- First Time Visitors: If the user is visiting the site for the first time, he/she should be prompted to select his/her location. Once Location is set, a cookie is saved thus when the user visit the website his/her location will be automatically set. ----------------------- Returning Visitors: If the user changed his location/language from the top menu location selection box, a cookie will be saved, thus when the user visit the site his/her location and language will be automatically set. ----------------------- Elastic Search / User Input: The Search / User Input should be elastic and providing user with suggestions to help him/her during the Search / Data Entry. Ability to add related keywords to Categories, for example, Italian Restaurant Category will have related keywords such as pizza, pasta. Thus, when the user is searching for Pizza the Search or Input will suggest Italian Restaurant for the user. The Search suggestions should be based on an algorithm in order to provide the user with most relevant search suggestions and results. For example, adding more weight to listings over categories, and to categories over tags. ----------------------- Internal Linking: When the user is entering the description of a listing, we should encourage him/her to add more content by guiding him/her. Moreover, when the user enters related keywords it should be automatically linked to existing website content. For example, the user enter ABC is a club …. Club should be an internal link to the clubs category. ----------------------- Email and Phone Encoding: Emails and Phone Numbers should be automatically encoded even when entered in description (textarea) to avoid scrapping. ----------------------- URL Nofollow: Any URL entered by the user should have a nofollow attribute. ----------------------- Phone Validation: User Input for phone numbers should be validated to be in a specific format to preserve standardization. ----------------------- Images and Logos Images submitted by user should have a minimum dimension, and automatically cropped and resized to preserve standardization. User Registration: ----------------------- Report Feature: A reporting feature should be available to report outdated/invalid/abusive listings. ----------------------- Time Entry: In listings where time should be entered to indicate when the place is closed and when its open, currently it’s a text field where user can enter anything they wait. This should be changed to a better way using multi select boxes in order to preserve standardization. ----------------------- Filtering: A filtering widget should be there to filter listings based on different criteria with the ability to customize it for each listing category since each has different criteria. For example, Properties have: Area (location): Multi Select Box Price: Range Type (1 Bedroom, 2 Bedrooms): Checkbox etc… ----------------------- Listing in Multiple Cities If a Listing is in multiple cities, the rest of the cities should have canonical URL for SEO purposes. ----------------------- Hide Empty Categories: Hide Empty Listing Categories from User Profile For example, currently in user profile you will see tabs of all different kinds of listings. However, empty listing categories should not display any tabs. ----------------------- Better Sorting Option: The user should have the ability to do multiple sorting, for example less price + latest date. ----------------------- Optimization: We have noticed that the website currently downloading too many data from 3rd parties along with unnecessary data such as scripts, css, etc. which makes load page time very long and affecting SEO and performance. We need everything to be optimized to deliver the best performance and load very fast. ----------------------- SEO: To include SEO features for user listings such as: • Meta description • Image SEO • Rich snippets
