Struts 1 Tripple Cascading Dropdowns using jquery and MySQL

I urgently need a Struts 1 (1.2.9) tool, which uses a MySQL or Oracle database to show 3 cascading or dependant dropdowns, similar to Country/State/City with a submit button.\\r\\nAll dropdown lists must be fetched from the database and the jsp page should save (submit) selected values to a separate table. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe third dropdown should be hidden or disabled if the second dropdown doesn\\\'t have any cities. (Yes, sounds stupid, but the final product will not use country etc, these values would just be an example.)\\r\\n\\r\\nOn application start or initial page load, if saved table entry is empty, then all dropdowns should be empty, if a row of data exists. then pre-populate the dropdowns with the selected values.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe application requires some validation to check that all 3 dropdowns are selected, except if there is no third dropdown (Third dropdown has no values), then only the first two should be validated.\\r\\n\\r\\nPlease note that this has to be in Struts 1 and please follow only best practices.\\r\\nAllowed (jquery/Ajax/json)\\r\\n\\r\\nAttached is a Struts2 example with hardcoded values. You could use some of this as a base.
