I am looking for someone who can help me get web projects done. I am looking for a long term relationship with a person or group who understands coding, development and design, how they relate to each other, and that they are all equally important.
I am looking for someone who understands that "good enough" is NOT good enough and persues excellence in each job they do. With that said, here are my requirements and project description:
Requirements:
Work hours are on or around Pacific Standard Time zones. I want to be able to speak with you on the phone when needed. I don't like working with people who are on opposite time zones and I have to wait a day for them to respond all the time.
Experience in design and coding. I want it to work well and look good at the same time. The more edvanced coding you know the better, but not neccesarily a requirement. I've worked with developers who have no design sense and the product they give me looks like a bunch of colored boxes and text links. The more GUI the better as far as I'm concerned.
Reasonably priced. If you can make yourself affordable, I can keep you pretty busy. if things work out great, then it could turn into a full time job.
A finisher. When you tell me you'll get it done, then I expect it to be done when you say it will be done. I don't want to give clients timelines that aren't met.
THE PROJECT: (This could be the first of many)
I've downloaded a template and would like to have it plugged in on my server for a new business venture. Details include:
1. Convert template design features to ones that I specify. I am versed in photoshop and can pull together mockups for you to follow. If you have better ideas than me, then lets go for it.
2. Propose new design ideas or build whole sites from scratch. Sometimes I may ask for you to build a site from scratch because I don't have time to look for templates, samples, etc. I just want to give you the project and let you handle the details with me.
3. Secured page for client login area. Simple page that only users with a username and password can access. Each new user will have different usernames and passwords (that we assign) that will take them to their specific page.
4. Implement changes when needed. I don't have a lot of time to mess with the websites, so sometimes I'll need you to do some of the simple things for me. I know how to use Dreamweaver and can do many of them on my own, but would like the freedom to kick that over to you should I need to. I might be interested in noegotiatiing a monthly retainer for you to maintain that stuff.
That's all I have for now. This p[roject is fairly simple in concept and a good one to get to know each other on. If you have any questions, let me know.
I've attached a sample of the original template and then one after I've altered some of it to give you a better idea. My current developers aren't getting the design aspects of the project and
I have to wait until tomorrow to connect with them.
There you go, please excuse any typos in this listing. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
