We are a law-tech company. We have a team of 12 full-time developers. We all work remotely. We want to hire a back-end developer who will take the lead on our Microsoft Word document automation project. We want to implement the document automation using the Office Add-In functionality. See: [login to view URL] Please note this is NOT a COM, VSTO, or VBA add-in. This is the newer JavaScript integration, using the Word JavaScript API. See: [login to view URL] We may also use the Open XML SDK, but not sure. See: [login to view URL] This is a full-time position that will be long term. We are looking for someone who has experience with: 1. Microsoft Office Add-Ins (Using JavaScript, NOT vba, com, or vsto) 2. The Word Javascript API 3. Architecting document automation 4. Developing document automaton We want to build a document automation system that: (1) Allows a user to select a court from a drop down, and automatically apply the correct margins, headers, footers, and styles to the Word document; (2) Allows the user to select the type of court filing the user needs, and the body of the document will update accordingly; (3) Allows the user to select what lawsuit they are working on, and then pull information from our database via an api to fill in sections of the document; and (4) Could use conditional logic to decide whether certain sentences, paragraphs, or sections should be included or not included in the document based on the data returned via the api results.
