JavaScript + Cordova -> Detect Internet Disconnection - $50

I'm creating a Hybrid App using JavaScript + Cordova Plugins (no Ionic). I need a solution to be able to *instantly* detect internet disconnection & reconnection. I'm currently using ajax query every 1 sec - its working but I'm not happy with it because request timed out can take upto 2-3 seconds during heavy loads etc. I'm looking for something better. I've used [login to view URL]; but it does not help because it only detects network connection break. It does not detect internet connection break. ------------ Network disconnection = Wifi or Mobile Network unavailable Internet disconnection = Wifi or Mobile Network available, but backend internet not available ----------- I'm open to websockets based solution or anything else if it works as I need -- *instantly* detect internet disconnection & reconnection Budget: $50
