Project Manager / Business Analyst Needed

IMPORTANT: This job is to oversee a short project of less than 1 month (see details below). The project will however need work over time and expansion of features after this deadline and so continuing work will exist for the right person(s). We are looking to deploy a robust web-based platform for information sharing in a specific industry. The platform will be written in RoR for rapid deployment and, will be web based in the AWS. The database back end will be PostgreSQL. We are looking to secure parts of the system with OTP and two factor authentication (such as Yubico). Your role will be: 1) To define the project (our ideas) in a way that the development team can understand, so we can recruit the right people. 2) Assist with the selection of the development team skills, roles and people. 3) Act as project manager until completion (subject to your performance). 4) Ensure all aspects of the project are properly implemented and tested. 5) Ensure all work done by developers is done in a reasonable time frame and to the required standard (including proper commenting of any code base and, completion of a final user guide to be available within the site). 6) Implement and maintain a common bug-tracking and resolution platform for the duration of the project. 7) Update us on a daily, and weekly basis on the progress. You must: 1) Be able to express yourself in WRITTEN AND SPOKEN ENGLISH to a multi-national team. 2) Have the ability to drive the work forward, time is short. 3) Deliver an operational preliminary (working) system (and a projected final system mock-up) within 4 weeks of the project start. The Project: 1) Will provide a clean, fast and modern interface for multiple users to connect and share information via WWW, smart devices and (possibly) other software via API. 2) Will allow people to upload and save images and documents in a variety of formats. 3) Provide data-entry pages for completing pre-defined fields. 4) Allow for exporting information in PDF/CSV format. 5) Restrict users by individual, role and other factors. 6) Allow for relational database activities relating to people, companies, events and data uploaded. 7) Provide a built in FAQ, user help and other features. 8) Have the ability to pull in data from other available web sources and parse these into its own pages. 9) Have a modular and extendable design that is both easy to maintain and secure over the coming years.
