My current project on freelancer is also related to scrapping the data from the websites. There are many ways of doing so either use beautiful soup or selenium in python or headless browsers to do it or even use R packages like rvest or XML to fetch the data quickly and store it in table. Another way is also use python or R script to parse the html from the url then do some preprocessing and insert it into cassandra or hive tables so that it becomes more scalable and architectural wise more apt, which also makes it more read fast and write fast rather than scrapping it and storing it into some pandas or dataframes. More details about the project could help me explore some other ways to do it as well. Looking forward to work on this project.
