We are developing a test preparation system and need some help on creating an algorithm to set work. The test will be a fixed number of questions (call it 100), testing 8 different areas of knowledge. Each question is scored equally, but some areas have more questions than others. The amount of practice we give to the student should be based on 2 factors: their actual score in the area of knowledge vs their target score, and the weighting of that area of knowledge.
