Hi, Seems like an interesting project to work on. Though keep in mind that Android is different thus some things, like animation, may look or feel a bit different from iOS version. Since there is iOS version I assume code or detail specification and design files will be available for use? I would see this as 2 months project, obviously I could do it faster, but I think you know yourself what rushing through project results in. I would write it in java, test with Robolectric unit tests, REST calls with Robospice. Would do it in Sprints of ~2 Weeks. Also some additional libraries work tabs, animation, pull to refresh list and etc. I will try to desribe step by step of what would be done in Android development to port this app from iOS to Android: 1) Action bar could look more or less the same way in Android. 2) Sliding menu out right and left - there is library for that. 3) Take a photo - either integrate camera into app or call device camera app through intent and get results. 4) Albums - Android devices have gallery, which you could call through intent to open up, same as with camera gain results after choice is made. 5) Discover - Tabs and lists - though it feels weird on my iPhone that I cannot just tap on tab, I would recommend changing tab on tap in Android, List would be reusable. 6) Collect art - Tabs and lists, same as Discover. 7) Feed - List, reusing same code from other parts.
