Your requirements for date, location, and event type are there as drop downs. Pressing the done button will close the filter panel and filter the events. Of course, right now there are only two dummy events. There will be more info, like where the event takes place, when, etc. My questions: 1. Can you confirm you need this only for Android? 2. How are the events stored and how are you planning on updating them? Is there an existing server with a database or is this part of this job? If no server has been setup yet I'd suggest to use the Parse framework. It's free and flexible and I have worked with it before. A project I created that uses Parse is KJD. It's used in conferences. Users can take and share photos. The admins of the conference can send push notifications to all attendees. Hello, Google play store doesn't allow for previously free application to become paid one. What we can do is make 2 applications, one would be limited (LITE) version, it would have only preview of what 2nd application (full, paid version) has to offer. Other thing we can do is make free application which would later, at your convenience, get in app purchase option. We feel that first option is better but is also more time consuming, approximately 10 days of work more. But you would have finished product without further need for alternating code.
