Hi. I have 3 years of experience in data-warehousing. I have worked in two projects. One is an entertainment media project where we use to handle financial data and is completely on oracle database. Other project is a consumer goods project where we generally handle the data related to milk products and here oracle is one of the database used. We have used microstrategy reporting tool for reporting. I can provide you the sample schema based on the experience that i have on the two projects. I understand you need to build a simple oracle datawarehouse (OLAP) and reports on top of it . I have good experience in Analytics & data warehousing domain. On getting the requirements, I 'll build a foundational star schema data model (for OLAP) by following 4-step dimensional design process (Ralph Kimball) methodology. After validation of Star Schema, the same will be implemented as OLAP tables, ETL routines will be built to populate it. The reports will then be built using OLAP tables.I am assuming the choice of technologies are Oracle (for OLAP), Informatica (ETL), OBIEE/BIP (for reporting). However this is something that can be discussed further.
