We're looking for a developer for an ongoing Perl/Catalyst project. The project is likely to run for several months. You must have good Catalyst and DBIC or Rose::DB::Object skills, experience in Template Toolkit and XHTML/javascript a plus but not essential. The goal is to have an initial version of the site with a very limited feature set live first, then continue developing and adding new features. Hello, I have been building web/database apps since 1993 (the old IDC/HTX days...pre-ASP!). I have used just about every framework out there, but I always find myself coming back to Perl. I've never come across a problem that I couldn't solve better/faster/quicker in Perl. I build complex web apps, HTML/JavaScript/AJAX...I prefer to work with a Perl backend. I will warn you though: I am NOT a look & feel guy. Meaning, I'm not one to spend hours in Photoshop crafting the perfect logos and images. I am a make it work guy, I make things function.
