Pair of programs in C++ or C#. Program #1 -- Screen Capture (Invisible) 1. Executes at logon. Captures screen shots media file on designated directory on disk, preferably AVI. Highly compressed format. Frame rate should be about 1-2 fps. CPU efficient. The program watches for specific events and marks frames when these events take place. "Major events" are: Enter key, left mouse click, or more than half of the screen has been redrawn. Minor events: Other key press; or non-left mouse button; or more than 10% of screen redrawn; or mouse stops moving for one second. Should not record specifically what was typed, only presence of "events" in the frame. The program stops executing when user logs off. At logoff, rename media file to show length (e.g., 12h31m15s). If user does not log off before midnight, close off recording file and start new one, so no file covers more than 24 hours. If disk space runs low, delete oldest file. Program #2 -- Playback (media player type interface) Media player to play file from #1. Playback in real time by default. Standard playback controls (rewind, pause, stop, fast forward). When paused, allows stepping to the previous or next minor event with left or right arrow keys; and stepping to the previous or next major event by pressing the up or down arrow keys. These programs should be well commented so any programmer versed in the language can study it and understand its logic and modify it in the future; object-oriented in architecture; and robust enough to be able to run for days and weeks without crashing or having problems.
