Project : Yet another Cloaking web script script language : PHP, CGI, PERL , JAVASCRIPT , AJAX, XML What is it? Cloaking script is when a search engine spider i.e. google spider comes to your website. This script will see the spider's ip address and match it with the script's database of spider ip address and will show a highly optimized web page for the Spider. If a user comes to the website, the script will see the ip address and if ip doesn't match the script's spider ip list. The user will access the site normally. That's pretty much what cloaking is. Now for some features I want for this cloaking script project. Script to contain an admin area. Where he can update spider ip list, add/delete keywords for spider pages, add/edit footer/header for spider pages, Add RSS feeds to spider pages Add articles to spider pages Add banner and affiliate codes to spider pages. Script features: create hundreds and even thousands of pages for keywords from rss feeds, articles, google search results. Only the spider can see these pages. Dynamic page generating so does not take up server space. Pages are template driven. I have a few more features but I will tell only to seriuos programmer that want to take on this project. Are you aware that the major search engines consider cloaking for deception to be a violation of their guidelines, and therefore, they delist sites when deceptive cloaking is reported? Will you consider having the keywords and other database centric details stored in a database, if you have access to one on your web site? This is the prefer method as it will speed up the generation of pages. Will your admin pages be on the public accessible location, eg. in the wwww area? There are some other minor questions and considerations I would like to ask you but defer it until a future time. For this project, I would break it into 3 milestones: 1. IP address detecting. It takes 1-2 days. 2. admin - provides the functionalities required for the admin to add/delete/modify these required details in the admin area. It takes 7 or less days to code but I don't know how long it takes for you to gather the information for me and possibly you to test. 3. generation of pages - provides the page generation capability with/without upper limit on the number of pages. It takes 3 days or less. Please be handy with all the needed information before, during development and during testing phases. Thanks for your considerations.
