Invision Power Board Application - Credit System + Integration with IP.Content

My project will be for building a site where subscribers can pay every month to buy art lessons. I am using [login to view URL] 3.0.x for the forum, [login to view URL] for subscription payments, and [login to view URL]'s Database feature to contain the lessons. This mod/application needs to add these features with as few file edits as possible: 1.) **Acquiring Credits.**? Automatically give credits to a user when they subscribe and renew their subscription.? The number of credits varies depending on the subscription package they buy. 2.) **Spending Credits**. Allow users to spend their credits to gain access to content.? Credits will be used to buy access to individual records in [login to view URL] Databases. 3.) **Profile Information.** A new profile tab that shows number of available credits and links to all content they have purchased. 4.) **ACP Mods.** Some additions to the ACP to manage things. ## Deliverables My project will be for building a site where subscribers can pay every month to buy art lessons. Each package will give a different number of credits to the user when the subscription is paid for, and every time the subscription is renewed.? ? If a user fails to renew their subscription, I do **not** want them to lose their credits. [login to view URL] has a feature that allows you to run a custom PHP script/module every time a purchase is made or a subscription is renewed. I think this feature could be used to run a custom script for adding credits to a user's account. I would like it if this custom script had a place near the top where I could edit the number of credits for each package in plain text.? I am comfortable with simple PHP edits. ? **Spending Credits** Credits that have been added to the user's account can be spent to gain access to specific records in [login to view URL] Databases. Once a subscriber purchases a record, it is theirs to view permanently. [login to view URL] 1.1.x has an extensible framework for creating new field types for its Database feature. I think this could be used to create a new field type for setting the price, in credits, of the database record as well as displaying some kind of purchase link or button for users. It is important that: 1.) it is easy for the person creating the database record to specify a purchase price in credits for that record 2.) it is easy for the person creating the database record to add a purchase button/link to a database record for users to buy the content.? 3.) not all items in a database need be purchased. Some can be free. 4.) items in any [login to view URL] Database can be given a price to be sold.? 5.) once a user buys content, it is theirs permanently, and they can view it as many times as they want, for as long as they want. ? **Profile Information** A tab added to the user's [login to view URL] profile that shows their Credit balance as well as a paginated list of Titles and Descriptions that links to all of the content they have purchased.? Call this tab "Lessons" ? **ACP Mods** I am? new to [login to view URL] modifications, so I do not know if the ACP is easy to modify.? Here is what I’d like, and you can tell me what can be done. 1.) When viewing Member profile in ACP, add the profile tab mentioned above so that number of credits and purchased content are shown. 2.) I would like to be able to manually add credits to a user's account 3.) I would like a variable that I can edit so that the term "Credits" doesn't show to the user.? I'd like to be able to change this term to any word of my choice, such as "Lessons" or "Points 4.) I would like an area in the ACP where I can see all purchased content listed in order (most purchased content on top)
