Intergrated Freight POD System (name: iFreight)

Software name: iFreight - Prrof of Delivery - POD Freight System (Java) Currently we use a software package called TDX to enter our consignment / freight despatches into this can be by way of singular entries or by importation of bulk destination from spreadsheets supplied to us from our customers. The TDX system generates individual consignment note numbers (unique number) for each item despatched from our warehouse for a given date. Some consignments have multiple items for despatch, eg: Consignment Number 0098789 = 2 items to one destination. At the end of each day, within the TDX system, by selecting to Manifest the consignments this prints a hard copy of all freight consignments for several freight carriers for that given date, or date range. We cannot manipulate the TDX system. We can export data to a report (xls), with these exports we need to then upload/update these to the iFreight Software Package either by xls or csv. In the iFreight Software Menu we need to have the ability to load Master Files by Client; Master Lists of the Clients addressing destination / locations. Several fields. These updates will come in the form of excel spreadsheets from our clients, we will manipulate these to select the required fields and save them to xls or csv format, then we need to be able to upload them to the Master Lists. We then need to upload the daily manifest / consignment information from the TDX system. On a daily basis we will be provided with several file attachements (xls or csv) fromt he various freight/transport companies, we then need to upload these to ifreight, marry them to the Master Lists by way of a unique number, eg: Consignment Number and report by Client, we need to be able to Print Reports, and also email reports directly to clients, we also need to have a database of the Clients email address to enable auto emailing of reports. The purpose of this system is to supply our customers with daily updates on all freight that has been despatched from our warehouse and delivered to its destination, POD (Proof of Delivery) We need the ability to be able to add fields to all master files to enable imports to match all of our clients special needs or idiosyncrasies.
