The application is used for administration of dataloggers Dataloggers are remote units which do measurements and store them. The communication is done entirely in TCP-IP (http data transfers) There are two modes for operation: 1. Simple mode: The application connects at specific intervals (usally once a day) every datalogger (which has a webserver running) and retrieves the logged values. It also keeps track of the configuration and the status of each datalogger in a local database and also allows to manually connect to a datalogger. 2. Host Mode: Basically the same as the simple mode, but the remote unit, the datalogger, will connect the application to transfer values etc. The application keeps track of the configuration / status of each of the dataloggers in a local database. It also reformats the incoming data and puts selected data in a output section for a separate Web-based Visualization. The user interface of the applicaton shall be Web-based.
