Modify a simple custom WordPress query

I have a query that returns results based on the date stored in the 'post_date_gmt column' (which is wp_posts). But I instead need the query to returns result based on the date in a custom field called 'ir_invoice_date_paid' instead, which is in the wp_postmeta table. You'll be given admin access to a live instance of WordPress and FTP access if you want as well. The file is attached just so you can see what I've done so far, but it won't actually work for you unless it's served up from my live theme. The database is already populated with data so all you need to worry about is the query.
