The project is based on search engine (see example design attached) in which the user looks for an specific local business by writting the zip code or street name, the information is fetched from a data based and will show the closest business from the inputed location. This locations should be possible to filter by proximity (5km, 10km...). The displayed results would be shown both on a map and in a list form. On this project, we would include front and back end as well as admin panel. Using php and mysql.

Hello, I'm guessing there is a proximity field in the database as that will be the most crucial information to be able to display the closest result. I understand how the information (search result) can be laid out on the front end. My question is, what will be in the backend?
