Hi, we are looking for someone who can help us to translate our website from English into Chinese. For this project we will send you a document which has to be translated. This document exists first of all of lists with words, the 'custom fields'. Slightly more complicated is the PHP part, the code which is generating the text on our website. Our website mainly consists of hardcoded text, php and many different variables that can be selected via custom fields (wordpress + ACF). To translate this you need knowledge of PHP, and a good understanding of the Chinese language at hand. The Chinese grammar and syntax is different from English, so the PHP and text needs to be moved around a little bit in order for it to read like a natural text. Once the website goes online we ask you to check the website for mistakes, and make adjustments in the document till the translation is perfect. This because only once the website goes live you can really see how the code works out. Usually minor corrections in the hardcoded text will be sufficient. So besides an excellent knowledge of the Chinese and English language, an advanced knowledge of PHP is also required!
