Project Description: Learning Outcomes Students will gain an understanding of: • the OSI Transport Layer • IPv6 address configuration. See the subject outline for further information. Assignment 2 Questions Question 1 Download Packet Tracer Activity 7.3.1.2 from Cisco Netspace and complete the activity. Answer the questions in each step. Answers must include explanations in detail. Screenshots must be included in your explanations. The words must be answered entirely in your own words. The use of any online solutions in any form will result in an academic misconduct investigation. Part 2: Step 1 • Show how multiplexing occurs as you examine the traffic across the network. Part 2: Step 2 • Describe the TCP connection establishment and termination between the client and the HTTP server. Your analysis must include a discussion of the relevant Layer 4 PDUs, port numbers, IP addresses, sequence numbers, acknowledgement numbers, flags and all other relevant details. Part 2: Step 4 • Describe the UDP traffic between the client and the DNS server. Your analysis must include a discussion of the relevant Layer 4 PDUs, port numbers, IP addresses and other relevant details. Describe and analyse the relevant differences between this UDP traffic and the TCP traffic as analysed and simulated in Part 2: Step 2. Question 2 IPv4 and IPv6 will coexist over the next few years.
