Access 2013 Database to track a private investigator's cases and provide artifacts associated with the cases. Associated with each case is evidence and clients. The database must also provide a means to track payments and manage invoices. Case Requirements: Cases must track how much money is projected vs. actually received from clients; Some case types are billable by hour or as a flat rate; Each case may accumulate receivables by hourly rate or flat fee, and if applicable to the case, a combination of per diem (mileage, food and lodging) and credit against a retainer; Must have a field to store pdf documents (signed contracts); Cases must be assigned a unique number (CR-2014-XXX); System must have the capability of identifying case as active or closed. Case Types and (payment type) include: Personal Injury (fixed price); Criminal Defense (hourly); Domestic (hourly); Skip Tracing (hourly); Process Services (hourly). Each case may have "special instructions" on how evidence is gather, what evidence is required, etc. Evidence Requirements: Each case may have more than one piece and type of evidence; Accumulated evidence must be summarized from the case details; Evidence Types include: photos, audio, video and documents (pdf or word); Evidence is gather over time; Each piece of evidence must be associated with the case number described above. Client Requirements: One client may have several people that can assign a case; A client may be a law firm or private citizen; Query Requirements: List cases by clients and the amount of revenue received by case by client across a given date range; List of all cases either active or closed or both across a date range; List of hours accumulated on each case; Sum of revenue by case type; Count of cases by case type.
