STM32 Mass Storage Enumeration - Cannot Format SD card

This is a freeRTOS project in STM32CubeIDE with a USB Mass Storage that enumerates an sd card as a data drive. When connected to a computer, this project allows the windows explorer to complete USB Mass Storage functions on the SD card such as read, write and delete files. Issue: The current project does not allow the windows explorer to format the SD card. While attempting to do a quick format the SD card, the progress bar does not move and the process hangs indefinitely until it has been cancelled, and the SD card must be formatted elsewhere for it to be accessed again. While attempting to perform a regular format, the progress bar slowly increases, taking a few minutes, to almost complete then it hangs indefinitely until it has been cancelled, and the SD card must be formatted elsewhere for it to be accessed again. No method of formatting via the windows explorer has been found to successfully complete. This project requires the adjustment of the existing project to allow for an enumerated SD card to be formatted, while keeping the existing functionality. The formatting must be done via a windows explorer and the file system as a FAT32 type. The project also requires the full tracking via the existing github repository to understand and replicate the changes made. The project uses a STM32F407VET connected to a USB3300 and a SMS064FF/SMS128FF microSD card reader. Using a Waveshare Development board/schematic for STM32F4 ([login to view URL]) is required for replicating the parameters for the project to work. The project will be considered completed if the following conditions are met: - The freelancer can successfully test the updated project on their hardware - The client can successfully debug the project in STM32CubeIDE without alteration - The client can successfully connect to the device via USB and enumerate the SD card as a mass storage device - After enumerating the SD card via the device, the client can successfully read, write, delete files on the SD card and format the SD card as a FAT32 type (both fast and regular format), all via the windows explorer. - The formatting of the SD card does not result requiring the ejection and repairing of the SD card by another device - The changes recorded in github can be successfully replicated by the client to enable formatting ability to other projects
