I need a script to use in conjunction with the filter functions in outlook 2003 / 2007. This should be a pretty quick job, I just don't have time for it right now. I'll choose somebody pretty quick (Over the next day or two).
Background:
I receive emails from [login to view URL] every time there there is a transaction. The subject line of the transaction email is not configurable so it always reads "Merchant Email Receipt". I have to open or preview every email to read the details of the transaction. My problem is I don't need all of the details, all I need is the customer ID that is in the body of the email. It appears in the email body like this:
==== CUSTOMER BILLING INFORMATION ===
Customer ID : W23432
First Name : John
Last Name : Doe ...
Requirements:
Currently I have an outlook filter that takes all of the email I receive from "emailreceipts at authorize dot net" and moves them to a folder called "Transactions".
What I want to do is set a filter function that first searches all incoming mail that is from the sender "emailreceipts at authorize dot net". Then I want it to run a script on those emails. The script should search the body of the email for the string "Customer ID :" and then everything after that string up until the first newline character. Then I want the script to edit the subject line of that email to read "[login to view URL] Customer ID : W23434" (The W23434 is just an example as every transaction is different). Once the script is finished, I'll use the outlook filter functions to move the email to the "Transactions folder".
I can handle the filter functions, I just need the script.
