OVERVIEW OF WEBSITE REQUIREMENTS - Must be built as static pages (HTML, CSS, etc), meaning not built using a content management system. - Must have cross-browser compatibility (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari, Opera). - Must validate to W3C specifications. 3. STYLE AND LAYOUT This site is for a summer camp for elementary and middle school kids on their summer vacation. It's purpose is to continue education and curriculum as well as engage in summer activities. The name of the camp is “Camp Summerwoods”. The design of this site should be something similar to www.tumbleweedcamp.com. The layout should have a “summer” theme. It can also be education based, but be sure that it properly reflects Camp Summerwoods purpose – to provide education in a FUN way to kids during the summer. In addition, keep in mind the age range of the kids who this camp is directed towards: elementary and middle school ages. See “image content supplied” below for similar header images. - Navigation: Navigation will include links to 4 pages, “Staff”, “Activities”, “Continuing Education” and “Swim School”. A link back to the home page should be supplied as well. It should be obvious which page the user is on in the navigation. - Footer: A typical footer should be included. If you use any creative commons images that need credit, this credit can be included in the footer. Image content supplied: Feel free to include images as it fits the layout and theme. You may also include images as you feel appropriate throughout the site. When choosing images, be sure to use images with the appropriate permissions/copyrights, such as Creative Commons for from a stock image website. LIST OF PAGES Site has 5 pages: - Homepage: this will serve as a basic introduction to the site. - Staff: lists all the staff members in the camp and their roles. - Activities: discusses the fun activities that go on at Camp Summerwoods. - Continuing Education: lists the classes the students participate in. - Swim School: information about the camp's swimming program. 5. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Deadline: 6 business days from acceptance date. While in development, you will host the site on your server. When the site is complete and approved, you will provide us with all source files. We will set up the site on our server - when the site is working properly on our server the project will be complete.
