We wish to develop a Windows search application based on Lucene, an open source project. Please see [login to view URL] for more information and links from there to other relevant sites. Bidders should have experience in search technologies and preferably some familiarity with Lucene. We have an appropriate budget for a high-quality application. We are currently writing a specification document that will describe how the application’s users can specify search criteria and will make that document available to bidders who sign and return the Freelancer Non-Disclosure Agreement. Put simply, and until the specification document is complete: the project is to build a Windows search engine based on Lucene with an accompanying user interface that is superior to that which ships with recent versions of Windows (such the search feature found in Windows 7 and Windows 8).
