Hi there. I'm sure that will be able to help you with these project. From my feedabcks you can see that I've integrated lots of APIs. Also, before going to private sector in 2009 I was in top50 programmers here from over 50k. Unfortunatelly, company where I have position of lead engineer doesn't have any new development plans at least for this year, so I have to start 'hunting' again. As you mentioned that you have feeds of 5 sources and basically we have to compare these 5 feeds. We will save all the xml feeds in database and then we will compare them. We will set the cron command so these feeds will be getting new data in every 5 seconds. I have experience of doing this please tell me what sources are you looking for getting feeds or xml. Hi, I have a vast amount of experience in projects just like this. Nearly every project I've worked on over the last 9 years has involved aggregating data from various APIs and through web scraping. I have an extensive background in PHP and Javascript, and my two most recent projects have been in Node.js. In Node.js you must really know what you are doing. Unlike PHP, if there is an error in Node.js, your entire server crashes or hangs. I took over one project that was about 50k lines of JS. All the functionality was working, but there were random crashes that were rendering it unsuitable for production. Upon examination, the code had clearly been written in trial and error fashion. It mostly worked, but a lack of understanding of the nature of JS meant that when certain things happened simultaneously, there would be an error with a crash or hang. Debugging was nearly impossible because of the poor code, so I ended up rewriting the whole thing (with elegant code using 25 times fewer lines). One issue that you might run into is API rate limits. Most APIs only allow you a certain number of calls per time period. You might exceed this if you are trying to fetch the entire library of every sporting event. A way around this would be to make the API calls dynamically, or scraping. I have much more to say, but running out of space, so reply back if you'd like to hear the rest of my thoughts. My bid is for the framework and 5 APIs. Additional APIs can be done as a separate project.
